Client Brief:

HRM Projects received an urgent brief from our new client, Absa, who required mobile banking trailers to serve clients impacted by floods, riots, and inaccessible areas. The challenge was to produce four units within a tight three-month deadline.

Results:

Despite the tight timeline, HRM Projects rose to the challenge. Through numerous meetings and late nights, we collaborated closely with Absa to design and build fully standalone units capable of withstanding various conditions. Incorporating their design changes along the way, we ensured the final product met their exact specifications.

The result? Seven mobile banking trailers equipped with a lithium battery providing six hours of standby power, complemented by a solar system for daytime operation. This innovative solution not only met Absa’s needs but also received industry-wide acclaim upon delivery.

Building on this success, Absa entrusted HRM Projects with another ambitious project: the design of a fully mobile bank. This groundbreaking unit features self-sustaining power through solar panels and lithium batteries, three workstations, a 24-hour ATM lobby, and a built-in restroom for areas lacking facilities. 11 in total were built in six six-month period time-frame.

These mobile banks are now deployed across South Africa, serving Absa’s clients without interruption. The ongoing success of these units has fostered a strong and evolving relationship between HRM Projects and Absa, resulting in numerous awards and accolades for our innovative solutions.
